Hi,
I have a pet ferret who I just discovered has adrenal disease. He has had two shots of Lupron so far and his hair is starting to grow back. The problem is he doesn't seem to want to use his hind legs to walk very often. Two weeks ago his left hind leg gave out completly and he kept stumbling over it. He kept trying to walk but would fall down. We took him to the vet immediatly and had ex rays done. His legs were swollen but there was no sign of injury. They discovered that he was protein difficient and I have since been adding extra protein into his daily eating habits. He has also been put on a anti-inflamoratory medication to help with swelling and pain. We do not know what has caused it though and he still won't use his hind legs very often. He ws up last night walking around but today he is slithering again. I don't know what to do! Please help!
