I need to make my vaccine appointments for my kids in the next few weeks. Given the following history:

Cheese: 4.5 years old. Had left adrenal removed 11/03, otherwise is fabulously happy and healthy. He has had serious reactions to his rabies vaccine for both 2003 and 2004. He has never had a reaction to his distemper shot.
Raisin: 3.5 years old. Very healthy, never been ill, never had a reaction to either rabies or distemper shots.
The Fox: 2.8 years old. Very healthy, never been ill. Suffered a
violent, near death reaction to her rabies shot in 2004. No reaction to the distemper shots.

I will be discussing this with my vet as well, and I completely understand the need for distemper and the requirement for rabies, but I am so scared about putting them through that again.

It may be that I do distemper only and forego rabies. Cheese and Raisin are never nippy and I do not have anyone else handling The Fox, who can be nippy with anyone other than me anyway.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I striggle with this issue!
