I began taking my 3 ferrets out for walks at the park last winter and they (& I) just love it...since it is getting hot here (Alabama) I am concerned about them getting too hot. I always take a portable water dish so they can have a drink whenever they like...is this enough...are they okay in their little pouch when it is HOT outside? I dont want to quit the walks but I dont want my babies to get a heat stroke either...are there tips for this?
Also..I have noticed that they get a pink flush around their eyes and ears when they get excited or scared is this normal...is it ok?
