Hi everyone,
firstly thanx for all the advice with regards to crumpets situation. over the weekend he has gained 0.85g weight and has perked up and started eating a little on his own. he saw the vet this morning and she is amazed...he will now life on without the fear of euthansia at least for the time being....ur advice help give him a second chance so THANKYOU!!!
Ok...i still need some further advice on his medication please. Crumpet is taking 20mg frusemide tablets -1/4 daily.
At the moment this is all he is taking.
My mum asked the vet about digoxin but our vet feels it should be avoided in this case due to its side effects etc. Also asked about Enalapril (Prilium which is an ace inhibitor?), Our vet has asked me to find out more about this drug and its suggested dosages as she has no knowledge of its use in ferrets to treat cardiomyopathy...please help again!

p.s please bare in mind that i live in the UK as this may have effects on the availability of drugs etc.
