When I visited Oscar yesterday she had just given him a medication for the nauseia. He had been able to keep it down for a while so we were hopeful. Thats when my vet got the bloodwork back. I was in tears so I don't remember exactly what she said, but it looks like the bloodwork shows that there is liver failure. Later that evening she called me to let me know that Oscar had vomited up his meds. She says that even if we can get him on track in the short term that long term prognosis does not look good. I'm scheduled to come in and have him euthanized at noon today. I just don't know how I'm going to do this. He is still the same old Oscar when I see him... climbing all over me, and falling asleep in my lap. If he is really suffering then that's one thing... but how do I know for sure? I'm just heart broken.
