Thank you so much!!!
I was looking for some advice from someone who lives in a hot spot like I
do....My babies just love going outside and getting in the grass and creek.
I was a little disappointed about not being able to take them out in the
heat (I do not like the cold so we don't do much in winter LOL) but with all
the responses and talking to my vet I have decided that we will go out in
the early mornings or early evenings when it is cooler and I have bought
them a little pool and will take them out at home to get in that. I have to
keepthem in one room of my house (mainly do to improper ferret proofing) so
I just want to be sure they get enough activity and excitement!! We do not
run our AC until it gets HOT HOT (like august) and they show no signs of
distress inside so I think they may be acclimated to a higher temp.....but I
don't want to risk a heat stroke to prove it.
I have also heard of people in Fla who keep them outside and I know that Fla
gets way above 80.
One more question... Have your heard of/used Ferret-Aid? It is a marshall
product that is an electrolyte concentrate that is put in their water for
dehydration....do you know if this is safe?
