We live in Florida and my white albino ferret is sensitive to the heat.
We had him on the screened in patio before and he started panting really
heavy..it wasn't even 75 outside, this was in the shade. Once we took
him with us to south FL...we stopped at the beach for a few minutes and
he started panting then too...the sand wasn't hot and it was very early
in the morning. I just think he's more sensitive than my darker
ferrets. We keep the house cool for them mostly...under 80 degress cuz
I had also heard they don't fare well at about 80 degrees. We had our
house wired so that when the hurricanes come again and the electric goes
out we can use fans...I'm more worried about the ferrets thans us.

I was also wondering if albino ferrets don't like the heat as well as
darker ferrets. Have there been any studies done on that?
