Hi, Barb,

Yes, it can change for the better that fast. Also,
the new fur that comes in may not be the same as the
old. Our Ker Avon was a patchwork quilt silver mitt
before surgery with lots of really dark fur. After
surgery his fur came in almost completely white. He
looked like a DEW for most of the rest of his life.
