That depends on how much you want to spend and what other problems your
ferret has. If you need to kill fleas and ear mites as well, apply
Revolution once a month. If you want to just prevent heartworm and do it
on the cheap, have your vet mix 0.3 ml of 1% injectable Ivermectin with
28 ml of propylene glycol and put it in an amber bottle . Mark it as
expiration date in 2 years and give each ferret 0.2 ml/kg or 0.1 ml/lb
by mouth once a month. My vet charged me $6 for a bottle of that.
