Ah, actually, the Purevax is the one newer one developed partly to have fewer reactions (and partly because it is safe to use on a range of animals which previously did not have safe nd working Canine Distemper vaccines such as a number of zoo animals who need such vaccines).
The Purevax actually IS having fewer vaccine reactions than other Canine Distemper vaccines, though reactions can occur with any. (See Dr. Jerry Murray's recent post mentioning rates.).
You just got Fervac and Purevax confused (easy enough to do), so nothing ironic has happened at all.
