If he is in the hospital he can be put on injectable antiinflammatories such
as Dexamethasone, If there is no obstruction you can try injectable reglan
for the vomiting. Were any biopsies taken? This could be inflammatory
bowel disease or it could be cancer of the stomach secondary to heliobactor
infection. I would also consider IV Metroniadazole while he is at the
hospital and once able to keep things down you can use the ulcer protocol
that is oral. I have also had some benefit using Barium as a coating agent
fot the intestinal tract and stomach when there is so much inflammation and
then carafate after that for maintence and to help seal up ulcers. These
are my suggestions hope they help and it is not too late. Hope that
biopsies were taken since there are other things if you get a definitive
diagnosis. Best of luck.
