I have Oscar at home tonight. The docter can't get him to keep anything down
including carafate and he is leaning toward putting Oscar to sleep. I told
him that i didn't even want to talk about euthanazation yet, so I took
things into my own hands if only just for the night.
No biopsys were taken. The first vet we took oscar to did the exploratory
surgery, because we thought he had a blockage, but shs said that she didnt
have time for biopsys.
I have another big problem now. I have been able to get Oscar to keep down
small amounts of liquid carafate, but the first bit I gave him yesterday
went down the wrong pipe on a quick turn of his head. Now he is really
having problems breathing. I don't know what to do. It seems to be getting
worse. I hate myself for adding to his problems. My poor baby.
I'm taking him back to the vet first thing armed with the news that i can
get him to keep carafate down even if no one else can. I just don't know
what he will say about the asparation.
Any thoughts???
