There was also a recent post about how domestic
ferrets may be adapting to kibble and a higher carb
content and that moving to a BARF or all meat diet may
also cause digestive problems. I'd have to search the
archives to find details but it seems that too much
protein and not enough carbs can now have be an issue.

I certainly believe in feeding ferrets either high
quality food designed for them and/or meat based diets
(i.e.: the Bob Church's Chicken Gravy recipe Sukie
gave a link for). I feed my ferrets some of both. If
I do a lot of Gravy some put on too much weight. We
saw that with Ella recently and taking away most of
the Gravy allowed her to slim back down.
