You might think about rescuing an older ferret as a companion for Yen. There are
always older ferrets, it seems, at shelters waiting to be rescued. You could do TWO
good things ;) It depends on whether or not you want any more ferrets at this point.
While they might not get along at first, eventually they always seem to come around.

I've found that ferrets who are isolated tend to have more health problems. They seem
to sleep more and get less activity than they would otherwise. Also, I don't know what
it is, but when ferrets sleep together they just seem to be happier. This is just what I've
experienced, and I don't know if it's always true. I would contintue to try to interact
with Yen as much as possible, as I'm sure you're doing.
