Hi set,
We treat vaccine reactions in ferrets just like we do
in dogs and cats. If it is a mild to moderate reaction,
then cortisone (0.1cc dex/0.1cc depo IM or SQ) and
SQ fluids (if needed). If it is a severe (anaphylatic) reaction
then cortisone (0.1cc Dex/0.1cc Depo IM), Fluids (IV or SQ),
Epi (IV or IM), and Dex SP (0.2 to 1 cc IV or IM), and Oxygen
(if needed).
