Both BUT yellow hair alone is not from bilirubin we see it seasonally in
some.

Yellow ferrets often biliary obstruction or liver disease, and if no sign of
the later assume the former. Evaluate thoroughly. It can be serious and
life threatening if not managed and fluid therapy is needed in the regimen
to help clear out the bilirubin. I have one with bile sludging we needed to
unblock in surgery and one that had liver cancer. Any type of cancer or
inflammation can cause it so find it and treat it even if you don't. Best
