Subject: Update on yellow ferret

I want to thank everyone who replied to my question and give a quick update here.

I think the ferret is looking better today, not as yellow as she was. (By the way, she's
a sable, not a white, so it's not a coat change.)

She's being given fluids daily and being offered water with some ferretone in it and
she's actually drinking some of that every time, which is good. Today the vet called
in some antibiotic for her and she was started on that
She's eating bob's chicken gravy and baby food every four hours but yesterday she
gave us a good scare. After eating, she projectile vomited it all back up. This went
on for a couple of feedings. She's now getting carafate before her meals and "knock
on wood", has been keeping it down so far.
I saw her urine yesterday, it was a little darker than I would like to see it but it was
not bad, not brown anyway. I did not see it today and suggested to my friend to put
paper towels down for her instead of the litter, so we can keep an eye on her urine
color and output.

The overall feeling here right now is that she is getting better -------going day by
day and hoping that she won't do a turn- around on us. I will keep you all updated
as I know more.

And so I did learn something new! I never had the jaundice problem with any of my
human kids, so I was puzzled by this "sun bathing thing." :~)

Thanks again everybody and I will let you all know how this turns out.
