OK, the "birth certificate" is actually the original MF shipping invoice to Petco. There's one for each ferret, and the former owner was told that the boy had come in the most recent shipment ("born from 3/13/2005 thru 3/19/2005"). I can only find one dot, though, and I know that some Petcos buy from other breeders. Even if these were mixed up, he's only about a month older than that--according to the invoice for the female. Yeah, and he's pretty big. Both do act very much like youngsters. I forgot about how they can pitch a fit about getting picked up, but Marissa is reminding me! Even my old guy seems to like them, though. And they seem to know not to mess with Cookie (7 yrs, blind, deaf). Seems like a great fit so far. Whew!
