Since you are not sure and can't get meds from the vet you can use flea
powder that is safe for puppies and kittens. Put some oil in the eyes to
protect them and you can alwasy rinse them afterward. You could try a
shampoo first Flea shampoo. see if you can kill them then try and flea comb
them. You can do this weekly. The one you got off... stick it to a piece
of tape (clear tape not invisible) and save it in a bag. You can also save
any dead ones you may comb out. This way you can bring it to the vet to
look under the microscope and give a more accurate diagnosis. You could
also put a bit of powder in the cage/bedding or Treat the cage with a spray
safe for use on pets, let it dry. Wash bedding et al daily and you may need
to treat the house where they were. Once you get a diagnosis you can use
something that is far safer and know how to treat everything else. best of
luck. If if is not bugs then this shouldn't hurt either.
