jaedee has been on clavamox since last Wednesday and is 100% better. today her sister raja, who is in a separate cage with another sable, tap tap, is coughing and wheezing exactly like jaedee last week. since raja has had clavamox in the past, and my vet is closed today, I gave her a dose of the clavamox, and will call the vet tomorrow. I have been washing my hands like crazy between the four of them (do this anyway). does this sound like a virus or bacterial infection being passed around? should tap tap and sir didymus be treated prophalactically?
