Personally, I don`t like to use antibiotics if a disease isn`t confirmed, because you can create unnecessary resistance to antibiotics, and you are giving your pet drugs they don`t need. It would be better if you can take the ferrets to the vet to be checked.
On the other hand, if you can`t take them to the vet soon, and as your other ferret got infected, a prophalactic treatment could be usefull. But if you use it try to take them to the vet anyway as soon as you can.
