Dear Kimi, I rescued a ferret years ago that was turned into our local humane society. His face was literally covered in deer ticks. They were 3 layers deep on his face. The vet and I picked deer ticks off of this poor guy for nearly 2 hours. When we had gotten off all that we could, he then applied Frontline. Only one drop. This medicine is very potent for ferrets. I usually use Advantage for fleas, but it does nothing for ticks. Within a few days, the ticks were gone. I still have Snickers today, he is an old man now! I would strongly recommend not using over the counter flea meds for ferrets. They can be very dangerous. I am not a vet, but I have owned ferrets for 10 years, have 9 of my own, and belong to many ferret organizations. I also do small scale ferret rescue. Good luck with your little guy.
