I don't know about the medicin, but my vet and I have a perfect routine for
taking blood for a glucose test, as my Mouffy has a checkup every month for
his insulinoma: I scruff him, the vet sticks a needle in his ear, presses a
little, and out comes a bit of blood, just enough for the glucometer. Mouffy
stays perfectly still, and still likes the vet :-)

which permit only a drop or so of blood to be used.]
