I can't see how it would be harmful for your cat to eat Totally Ferret, but yeah, he's going to put on a little extra weight if he eats it often enough or in large enough quantities.

I'm sure he found out TF tastes a whole lot better than his food, so keeping him away from it is going to be nearly impossible, unless it's in a place he can't get at.

I had the same problem, and I considered making a door for the ferret's cage that was big enough for the ferrets to easily get through, but too small for the cats who did not hesitate to go in their cage and chow down.
