I'm not sure what's wrong, but I wanted to point out a couple things. Ferretone has no sugar in it and would be worthless for trying to help during a low glucose episode.
6-7 years old is way older than any case of DIM I've ever heard of and I think it's probably safe to put this at the bottom of the list of possible causes.
