Ellie's breathing is getting more labored, how long
can she breath like this?! She eats he duck soup
willingly and enthusiastically. We have now been to
three different vets with not real answers! There are
no vets in the area and I have called at least 10 that
do endoscopy on a ferret. Ellie wants to play and she
goes outside daily and plays with her tissue paper and
goes in her tube and loves to be held, but she is
getting weaker everyday. My guess is lymphoma, but
what do I know? We have another appt. an hour away on
Monday for an x ray and ultrasound. I can't believe
we have not already done that! The first vet said
allergies, the second a tumor of some sort and the
third was a waist of time and money cause they had no
clue! We will hopefully get a script for pediapred
tomorrow. Any advice on using the drug? We used it
for a week once with another ferret and she got a
bleeding ulcer. She was also in addisonian crisis and
it was right after a second adrenal surgery.
