Our vet said to never use flea dip on a ferret, and in fact she said to not use sprays either. I agree with the moderator's note that you should definitely check with your vet first before using something like that.

A local shelter (not a ferret shelter) had a puppy that had horrific fleas. They dipped the puppy---and the puppy was 'burned' by the dip. She's healed now, but she looked like she'd been in a fire, it was so bad. I'm not saying this will happen, but if it 'can' happen---I think I'd rather get Revolution or Frontline or something like that to take care of the problem.
