Surgery remains the best answer to an adrenal growth or to left over reproductive tissue which is a possibility when such a young one gets that symptom.

Could you give more details on the one who passed away? Perhaps there is a change which could be made that would improve safety before, during, or after surgery.

When surgery is not done with definite adrenal growths Melatonin is good (though not as good as surgery for definite adrenal growths in general, especially for a young one who should have many years ahead) but you want to combine it with a heavier hitter which uses a different pathway to control such as Lupron (or if you are in Australia or somewhere else with it then Suprelorin). Again, surgery is better.

There is a lot in the FHL Archives on this.
