I feed mine totally ferret regular (not senior) and just recently started adding Innova
EVO canine to it. Too soon to tell if it's making a difference. But, I hear it is great stuff.
I also used to make my own short version of soup for my sicky. My sick one was
approx 7-8 when he passed. He was basically on the soup every 2-4 hrs. But he had
insulinoma, so we had to keep him on a tight feeding schedule. The soup was a basic
mix of the ground kibble, egg, gerber chicken/gravy baby food, and depending on
what was going on either a tiny tiny bit of ensure or pedialyte. - Terra
[Moderator's Note: Do you mean "canine"? Canine foods usually have the wrong
proportion of nutrients for ferrets and usually lack added taurine which ferrets need.
Do you mean "feline"?]
