Subject: RE: Hair regrowth - 2 years after surgery

We had a ferret who took an extended period of time to regrow fur after an acute bilateral adrenal onset and surgery (full baldness of entire lower back within less than two weeks. Hers came out fully and cleanly and she lived on Fludrocort/Florinef and Prednisolone forever after.

In her case her fur follicles had apparently become very compromised.

In all her years afterward if she was under physical or emotional stress she would drop that fur again. When she was very, very well she looked almost normal for fur amount.
