I am sorry, but I strongly disagree with your experienced ferret folk

I would highly recommend that this food (Inova EVO) ***NOT*** be used for a
ferret. It contains whole, raw fruits and vegetables, which ferrets cannot
digest. Raw, whole carrots, apples, and potatoes, could cause a fatal
blockage at worst. At best, these veggies and fruits have no nutritional
value for a ferret.

Actually, I am one of the experienced ferret folks who have used and have no
problem with this diet. The "whole, raw fruits and vegetables" are not
actually either whole or raw. The food is a processed kibble and is quite safe for
ferrets. It also has a great protein/fat level, has wonderful protein sources
and does indeed have supplements such as taurine. I do not use or recommend
it as an only food, but I do add a small bag (five pounds or so) to my mix,
which also includes multiple high-end ferret foods.

The ferrets love it, it is quite safe, and I have no problem with it as a
part of their diet.
