There are three anti-flea products that those in the know will use on
ferrets, Advantage, Revolution and Frontline. They are engineered to
interrupt a fleas life cycle at some point and they have been tested to
be harmless to the pet. Don't hold me to this, but I think I read that
Advantage mixes with the pets skin oil. Revolution passes thru the skin
and gets into the pets bloodstream. I just don't know about Frontline.
Others that are packaged the same way but most of them are not safe. By
all means, do not use anything made by Hartz. A number of people have
killed their pet by trying to save a few bucks by buying Hartz instead
of one of the proven ones.
