I can only tell you about my Emmy who had symptoms like that. She had an
ultrasound and there was something visible on it that looked like a small
tumor, so the vet decided to operate. Unfortunately that spot gives a sort
of shadow on an ultrasound, and when the vet opened her up it turned out to
be a tumor between the pancreas and the liver that couldn't be removed, so I
had to let her go. Of course this is the worst case scenario, but I thought
you should know.......
