Yes, ulcers can cause blood loss and anemia, but do not
give pred as part of an ulcer treatment! Pred can actually make
an ulcer worse!
Carafate should also be part of your ulcer treatment.
Not sure why your local vet would be against using Lupron and
melatonin, but I am glad you are now using them.
