I have a 14 month old ferret named Bumble, He is a dark- eyed white who is deaf. Sunday he started breathing very rapidly, acting letharg ic, and eating less than normal. My husband and I both thought it was the heat, we live in Syracuse, NY. When it persisted the next morning off to the vet we went. The vet said his spleen is enlarged, he has a mass in his chest, she also said his lympnode near his sternum is enlarged (does he really have one there?) She tried to aspirate the mass but wasn't able to. Her thought was lymphoma.

The 2nd vet said she doesn't think it is lymphoma, but a cancer of some type, but she isn't sure. Bumble is too sick to aspirate the mass. I need to take him to a specialist, if I can get his health back up.

Bumble is home and perking up just a bit. Eating, drinking, using his liter box 100% of the time, eats treats, he hid when it was time for his antibiotcs, and went through the drainage tube. All of this happened last night. The night before he could barely move, we even had to hold him up to drink.

Please...if anyne has any advice or ideas....please....Bumble is still young....I don't want to lose him!!!!!!

Thanks,
Nicole
