Subject: Sick Ferret?

I have a ferret that was diagnosed with gastroenteritis (the vet found bact=
eria in her stool and suspected that it was a helicobactermustelae infectio=
n) on June 3, 2005 and I was given Clavamox antibiotics to treat it for one=
week. Her poop was very seedy and soft and mucousy. Although she was not a=
cting sick and was eating and drinking normally, I brought a stool sample t=
o the vet and he diagnosed her. Throughout the week of her treatment, there=
was some improvement in the appearance of her stool, but it still remained=
seedy and soft. On the last 2 days of her treatment she stopped eating and=
she pooped less. The vet said to stop the meds and it would get better. So=
on after I stopped the treatments, she started eating again. But now it has=
been 2.5 weeks since I originally started noticing strange poops in her li=
tterbox. Her poop is still seedy, mucousy, and softer than usual, but she i=
s eating, drinking, and behaving somewhat normally(she does lay down a lot =
when I let her out to play, is that normal?). Should I just give her time t=
o recover, or should I take another stool sample to the vet? I don't know =
what to do. =

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! =
