ringo is still alive and our appointment is at 9am. the office is closed for the evening. caroline is going down ringo's path...if she gets any worse, she may be my euthanize/fresh sample candidate...shudder...

what possibilities are there to find? and if we find "something" as in a cause, what then? what treatments are available?

too often i see vets and people worry over running every test imaginable, with little hope of getting any sort of actionable result. in other words, if i'm going to even begin considering killing one ferret to have a fresh enough sample to figure out what's afoot with the others, then i need to understand once the cause is found, is there any sort of treatment for whatever the hell it is?

i mean at this point, with caroline just this side of dead, i'm tempted to just hit the antibiotic aisle and load her up, make sense? if pathology takes even 24 hours, i'm worried she won't last that long (based on ringo's decline).

so if anyone has any idea what the underlying cause(s) could be and what treatments would be applicable, please let me know!!
