Hi,
My ferret Nyssa had an anaphylactic reaction to her
rabies shot at age one. Lots of blood out both ends
and she promptly went into shock. She nearly died.
Nyssa has had her rabies shot for five years since and
no reactions. What our vet did was pretreat with
dexamethasone injections for three days prior to her
vaccine and with dexamethasone and benadryl the day of
her vaccine.
You could use the same protocol for another Fervac-D
vaccination. Discuss it with your vet.
