It's not so much that I'm concerned (both are happy as they are) but my vet is concerned. Other ferrets Chewys length weigh in the 3.5 to 4 pound area. You can see his hip bones. The vet is concerned that there isn't enough padding to protect his bones, especially because he likes to jump off things. I'm not as concerned about Sonic, she doesn't look anorexic.
