I agree with Mary. Ferrets, like people, come in all
shapes and sizes. Our Romana, a very petite female,
now almost seven years old and healthy, weights 1.25
lbs in the winter but is typically around 0.8 lbs. in
the summer. She is not skinny. By comparison Nyssa,
always a really big girl, has had a typical winter
weight of 2.75 lbs. and a summer weight around 2.25
lbs. Due to lymphoma she's around 1.75 lbs. now and
is quite skinny even though she's twice Romana's
weight.

My thought: get a second opinion.

All the best,
Caity and the fantastic five
(Nyssa, Romana, Ella, Zephyr, and Chin Soon)
