I'm not a vet. To gain weight, you need to give them more fat. Go to a
drug store and get a bottle of Lactaid. Go to your grocers and get a
half pint or a pint of heavy whipping cream. Crush 4 of the Lactaid
tablets and mix the powder into the half pint and let it set for an
hour. Give each ferret a tablespoon of the cream daily. If they have
never had cream before you may have to dip a finger in it and put a drop
on their lips. That is usually all it takes to get their attention. You
can give it twice a day or 2 tablespoons at a time. it will fatten them
right up.
