I missed the original post on this, sorry. When my ferret wouldn't eat, and we wanted to get as much nutrition (fat and protein primarily) into her as easily as possible, one of the things we added was heavy cream. Note, not whipping cream because it has sugar added.

She had no problem digesting it, but I know many ferrets have problem with dairy products.

To this day, I don't know if that was the best decision we could have made, but at the time, we used the info we had, and it worked for us, so I'm not complaining. :)
