came home today to find one of our girls who's been so severely affected by the coccidia with a serious infection of some sort. she sounds all congested, has snot crusted to her nose and her entire bum region is red, swolen and covered with pus. i soaked her in epsom salts and tried to wash as much off as possible, then slathered her with neosporin.

when we thought we were dealing with gastric ulcers, we had the kids on clavamox, flagyl and carafate. when we found the coccidia the vet said to stop the clavamox. so i'm afraid to give her an antibiotic, yet i'm afraid not to since she has such an infection!

there is no emergency care of ferret competence in our area right now, saturday evening. nothing until 8am monday morning. if anyone is familiar with these meds, please advise!!!! thx!
