Dear list member-

I am sorry your ferret is not feeling well -- I am NOT a vet, but a shelter
Mom who has dealt with many health issues.

What is not clear is some info on your ferret... hOw old is this ferret?

How long has the insulinoma been treated?

When dosing the pred are you making sure it is dosed after or with food
and NOT on an empty stomach?
That is a very important bit of information that needs to be
understood. Dosing pred on an empty stomach can cause nausea, ulcers and
more..... at this point without knowing more information it would be hard
to advise you on the health condition as it might be other things as well (
mega E, infection, unbalanced BG levels)

I would suggest you have the et check for ulcers... if you have not been
administering food before dosing with pred make sure you do from now on.
Carafate or sucralfate suspension should also be administered 15 mins prior
to eating with the currrent condition- once the vet has determined this
is ulcers.

Best wishes to you both,

Alicia , shelter mom
