Hi Alicia,

(I think we may have met at St Louis Symp...

Thanks for your advice! He did have blood tests run not too long ago. Would renal failure show on regular CBC? I personally feel it is more adrenal and recent heart issues with unrelated teeth issues - he started coughing more within the last few days. And with the Xrays showing cloudiness around chest area - I feel he does have heart issues. Plus with the Lasix decreasing that cloudy area, that too leads me and my vet to think heart. Also, he has had teeth problems since we adopted him in 20002. Not too familiar with renal issues, would that have shown up before now?

I am concerned as to which toothpaste is best?? I heard human baby toothpaste - but does it matter which kind?? (I don't have human kids so I don't know what is out there.)

I got a reply that Listerine is good to use with good results...so I am going to go with that too.

However, I KNOW he will LOATHE that!!! So on off days, I would like something more tolerable like toothpaste.

I will be going to the vet (maybe tomorrow) for his Lupron shot, so I can run by what you wrote.

Thank you very much for the info
Much appreciated
Melanie
