Well, I am not a vet and I am very sorry to be a bearer of potential bad news, but
I have had experience with three ferrets with lymphoma, and all of them presented
with hard peripheral lymph nodes. Ferrets do build up fat deposits in the same
places, but those feel squishy and irregular in shape. One way to know for sure
if it is lymphoma or not is to have the vet do a needle aspirate of the hard
glands and get them tested. In my opinion, this is something that a good ferret
vet should have thought of right away--did your vet mention lymphoma or rule it
out?
