Diane, please, ask what TYPE of tumor it was. "Osteo" just means that it is affecting bone.

There are some unusual bone type of tumors in the Powerpoint Presentations (You have to use Explorer to run it.) in

(also consulting info in there tyo give to your vet)

and with an unusual malignancy it may pay to authorize your vet to consult with a pathologist who is used to seeing unusual things in ferrets such as Doctors Bruce Williams, Matti Kiupel (of Michigan State), or Mike Garner (of NW Zoopath), as well as an oncologist. We've had to use consultants a number of times and most are well worth the cost.
