Which leaves us without a means of treatment or
prevention.
Of the 10 ferrets we had born between 1994 and 1998 a
total of six died of lymphoma between October, 2003
and February, 2005. A seventh, Nyssa, was diagnosed
in November, 2004 but is still alive. That's a
cluster of seven. Two more died of other illnesses
earlier on and one has, so far, remained blissfully
healthy. I should point out that two of the ferrets
didn't show any symptoms of lymphoma until well into
their 10th year of life, so I don't know if they
really should be included in our cluster or not.
All the best,
Caity and the fantastic five
