Hello everyone,
I was hoping to get some advice on feeding older ferrets. My crew is
getting older now, and I wonder if/when I should be considering a
different diet for them. I've read that older ferrets should receive
a diet that's lower in protein. I currently feed my gang TFS
Superior Choice with Iams Kitten food mixed in occasionally.
Is it true that it's a good idea to switch to a diet that's lower in
protein for older ferrets, and are there any other things that I
should be looking for? Or should I just stick with what has worked
well for them?
I'm also interested in why their dietary needs might change as they
age from a medical standpoint. I like to understand what's going on
in their little bodies, and why.
I'd really to hear your input on this. I want to make sure that I'm
doing my absolute best for them.
Thanks,
Jen
