Hi Everyone,

Jasper aged 6 years had a large (walnut size) left adrenal gland removed in
April this year. It was carcinoma, and from the extra tissue taken for
pathology, it was found to have metastasised. All other organs looked
normal to my vet during surgery.
He's been very itchy since, so we did an adrenal blood test. It came back
possitive (high estrodial)
During the last two weeks while waiting for the test results, he's become
very lethargic again (as was before surgery to remove the left gland). He
eats, drinks, uses the litter tray, and sleeps. Nothing more.
He also has watery eyes, but I have no idea if that too is somehow related
to poor adrenal function?

Anyway, I'm wondering whether it's more likely to be carcinoma in his right
gland now, as opposed to the general benign?

He's been started on Arimidex today, but from the little that I've read, if
this too is carcinoma, nothing will help much. Is that right?
If we are lucky and it isn't then will this help with the lethargy, and how
long will it be before I'm likely to see any improvement?

Any replies are much appreciated.

Carol - (And a very sleepy Jasper)
